"The property —a classic Hudsonian house restored with care— and room were exceptionally clean and very well appointed. The complimentary coffee and snacks in the shared kitchen were very thoughtful (and delicious) and communication with the owner via text was lightning speed. "This place is, in the best possible way, a blast from the past! A nice, quaint roadside motel with a mountain vibe! Great views of the Catskills from the small hill where there’s a fire pit and Adirondack chairs for relaxation and lounging. Re-read Rip Van Winkle after a fantastic dinner at Deer Mountain Inn as it got dark looking upon the mountains where the story took place. Picturesque and perfect! Had the entire motel to myself and it was so nice, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful...

"The setting for this bed and breakfast was what you think of when you think of bed and breakfast - quaint setting - rustic accommodations in a country environment. Bring your computer or a book - no TV in the room. The only "complaint" is that breakfast was sparse. We thought she said, "yogurt, fruit, and granola" but when we looked in the around the common kitchen/frig we didn't see any granola. There were 2 containers of yogurt and a small bowl of blueberries. We weren't sure the other stuff...

"This was a fantastic choice to stay at for our weekend getaway, and I highly recommend it! The hotel was lovely, the staff was helpful, friendly, and wonderful at their job! The only thing I would tell people visiting here is to be sure not to take a room facing the main road if you are a light sleeper. The traffic noise kept us up. I know that the hotel website says that they are updating the AC and heating system, but this hadn't been done in our room yet, and the small AC unit in the window...
