"We had room 402 on the fourth floor it was very warm with the sun coming into room all afternoon, we left a note for room service to leave the curtains pulled which helped on our return.
We requested a fan which helped, one window was screwed shut which didn’t help.
The floor sloped by approximately 4 inches from the door to the windows including the bathroom."

"Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was odd to get to going up the stairs then down the stairs. No A/C so windows open… except open to a bar right outside which was loud until 3am. Yikes. Wonderful location next to the promenade and shops. Good food options around too. TV was small. Bar area had broken drafts for the beer. Breakfast was so/so but they would make you eggs however you’d like fresh, so that was nice."

"Attentive, friendly staff. Kevin was great along with the breakfast and cleaning staff. Good, central location. Clean, well maintained rooms.
Too much peripheral noise. Loud talking and snoring heard through walls of neighboring rooms. Some sort of sewer flushing pipe/drain in courtyard outside our window whooshed frequently."

"Large family room 50m from the promenade. Had everything you could need including large bathroom, tv, tea and coffee. Lots of local and tourist info and leaflets available. Staff were very helpful.
We were not in the main building so had a short walk up the road for breakfast which was a good choice of full English or continental. We did eat at the restaurant otherwise. The bar is fairly good but not very big.
The only negatives for us were the walk into town which took about 20mins. Luckily we...

"Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others"

"The opel express was very clean and the breakfast very good with plenty of choice the room had excellent amenities provided ,with a kettle in room and tea coffee and water topped up daily, only saw staff at breakfast and checkout, it was self check in with key to room left in a safe, the room did have a ceiling fan which was very noisy and could only use with the light on, I was there during a very hot period so not much comfort throughout the night, the view from the room was not good looking...

"I honestly cannot rate this hotel high enough, the rooms were absolutely spotless, the breakfasts were amazing and the staff. Well every single member of staff were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful. The aircon was heaven sent in the heatwave, I had amazing sleep every night yet my brother in law in a budget hotel was tormented with heat. I will without a doubt stay there again and wont even contemplate looking at other hotels."

Close enough to the electric railway to give you easy access to the island..
There is NOT a lot going on in Laxey, but that exactly what we were looking for.
