Review: Disappointed by Lack of Basic Hospitality
I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired—especially in terms of service and hospitality. During our stay, we asked the front desk if we could borrow a lighter for our son’s birthday cake. Not only did they say no, but they didn’t make any effort to help or offer alternatives. When we suggested maybe the kitchen could help, the staff member replied bluntly that there was no kitchen available to assist.
On our last day, we asked if they could help us send a postcard back home—a small request that most hotels are happy to assist with. Again, we were told flatly, “No, we don’t do that,” with no suggestion or offer of help.
While the facilities may have been fine, these interactions left us with the impression that guest care was not a priority. We weren’t expecting luxury service, just a bit of friendliness and a willingness to assist with basic, common guest needs. Sadly, that wasn’t our experience.
