"This guest is a really lovely place to stay, 20 minute walk from Wavery train station, plenty of places to eat 5-10 mins walk away. The building itself is stunning and the continental breakfast is a bonus we weren’t expecting!"

"Loved staying at Abbey Strand! Very historic building but with all modern conveniences. Quiet part of Royal Mile away from noise & traffic but easy walk to anywhere. No air conditioning but temps are generally cooler. Definitely recommend a stay when in Edinburgh."

"It was easy to get to this property via the tram after getting off our train from the train station. If you are arriving by plane, you can also easily access the tram to this property too. The proximity to a tram stop makes this property a standout. When we arrived, we were greeted by Edna and her son Craig. They were both really friendly and gave us a lot advice of where to eat and what to do. We managed to go to one of Craig’s many recommendations - Fishwater for fish and chips, which was...

"We were obsessed with this hotel. It was so pretty and eclectic inside, great art and decor in the rooms. Staff was so nice and the breakfast was to die for. We did a very impromptu whisky tasting and learned a lot- it was better than the whisky tour we did earlier in the week. We were sad to go and can’t wait to visit again! "

"I couldn’t believe how beautiful this property is and the attention to detail was impeccable. Even the lounge area with cappuccino, latte, pastries, etc. were a pleasant surprise. It’s in the perfect location too, we walked everywhere without any problems."

"The room was really comfortable and the staff was amazingly nice. Patrick was particularly kind and helpful during our entire stay, but in general every single person we engaged with was extremely nice and kind we our 2 year old boy. The location is amazing, and I will totally go back! "
