Casita Shay - Charming Studio Apartment

Newly remodeled and fully furnished, this studio apartment has a brand new kitchen and bathroom, new appliances, and all the amenities for you to enjoy sunny New Mexico in a home away from home - located near historic Mesilla, NM and access to I-10.

Whether your stay is for business or pleasure, experience lovely Las Cruces in our charming casita, well equipped for guests of either endeavor. Located just off of South Main St., the Casita is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, with a gated, private yard. It is peaceful and inviting – the perfect space to relax, or set up shop.

This 500 studio space has wood floors, brand new everything (quite literally), and a TV unit that turns 360 degrees – watch from any angle in the room while you cook, relax, or lounge in bed.

It has a queen-size bed, duvet bedding, great natural light, a tiled bathroom w/shower and washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, refrigerated air, heating, an eating area, large HDTV w/cable, Wi-Fi, and security system.

Drive to Mesilla Plaza in less than 10 minutes and enjoy one of Las Cruces’ historic gems. The area is a must-see destination for the out of town visitor, with shopping, art galleries, movies at the celebrated Fountain Theater, bars, and restaurants – including one of the country's top ranked Mexican restaurants, La Posta. Casita Shay is only a ten minute drive to both the I-10 and I-25 freeways.

Nearby outdoor recreational attractions include the Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park along the Rio Grande with a great biking/walking path, our spectacular Organ Mountains Desert Peaks National Monument for both the avid and not-so-avid hiker, and the distinctive White Sands National Monument.

Never disappoints

I was in Las Cruces for business, per usual. I need quiet, convenience, and access when I'm in town. This location has all of the above. The host and her team are very friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond. It's the only property/ owner I stay with when in Las Cruces. I feel safe and productive.

Quiet and peaceful

I couldn’t believe how close to downtown this casita is—between the lovely, fenced garden and the thick walls, it was a perfect place to rest. The space has been beautifully and thoughtfully designed.

Always delivers a great stay

This is my second time staying at Casita Shay, but my fourth time staying at one of their properties. As a health IT and writer, privacy and safety are my main concerns, and you get both with the "Shay" properties. This location is very convenient for shopping and outdoor activities. I would highly recommend this location for single travelers and couples.

Exploring Las Cruces

This property is a cozy little efficiency appartment that is well located, well maintained in a quiet, safe neighborhood. I stayed here for nearly a week while exploring the Las Cruces region. I used the kitchen several times to prepare meals. I used the washer/dryer and dishwasher, the oven, the stove, the microwave. Everything worked well and was well maintained, clean and comfortable. I'd gladly stay here again.

Never disappoints!

This owner's properties never disappoint. This was a perfect spot for a single person or couple. Very clean and neat. She has everything you could need. I was very happy during my stay. I was in town for work, and this was a great place to rest after a long, hot day in Las Cruces.

Exactly what we needed

We went to LC for a softball tournament. The casita was perfect just for us. Literally has everything you could need. Very cozy, clean and the perfect size for a couple or even a couple with a child to sleep on the couch. We loved it and will stay again if we go back. Only thing I will say that may need fixing is the door to the casita. It was hard to push open because it rubs and is too close to the floor, but in all honesty, we looked past that. It wasn't a big deal at all. Recommend a stay here.
