"It was quiet and peaceful - exactly what we needed. The kitchen was great for cooking breakfast. It was nice with full sized appliances. The apartment and bed were comfortable. The view was beautiful and the binoculars were a nice touch. We loved hanging out on the deck. The only negative was the short, deeply pot holed, dirt/gravel road that connected the paved road with the paved driveway. Nice place for a peaceful get away."

Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. "Our family of 4 stayed here in Grass Valley a few days after picking my daughter up from summer camp nearby. Loved the history of the home and the modern touches (especially AC and WiFi). Our host, Ann, was great with communication; I especially appreciated detailed checkin information. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the morning and appreciate the nature, but everything we needed was just 5-10 minutes away."
