Caloura 66 - Vacation Villa

Located in Caloura, one of the most iconic and idyllic spots of São Miguel Island, this unique Villa offers its guests a magnificent view of countryside and sea, proximity to bathing areas, and the opportunity to spend a few days in a comfortable and stylish house , awarded with an architectural prize.

Caloura 66 has a unique atmosphere. It’s fully integrated on the landscape. You almost can’t spot the house from the street. At the time of the construction, it was published on an architectural magazine and was awarded with a prize.

The house is fully equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Besides the beautiful garden and the several spots to relax and enjoy the view, the house has three bedrooms, each one with a queen size bed, three complete bathrooms, kitchen, living room and dining room. There are also some spots where you will find the quietness to read a book or to take a nap after exploring our beautiful island.

Caloura 66 is exclusive for our guests. Besides the house, guests can use the garden and the place to park.

From the street you have two entrances: trough the main gate, where there is a place to park one or two cars, and trough a small gate only for walkers.

Our property manager will be in the house to welcome you and deliver the keys. He also will provide some information about the island, what to do, where to eat and shop.

We are happy to share the house with our guests. Please take care of the house as if it was yours.

Please don’t smoke inside the house. There’s plenty of places outside where you can do it.

Once you are here you can walk all around. Caloura is a very calm and beautiful place. You can walk until the sea, to Bar Caloura (best fresh fish restaurant in the island) or to the village nearby, where you have some grocery stores and some restaurants.

Caloura is located at 17 kms from Ponta Delgada. It’s advisable to rent a car or motorcycle to arrive here and to explore the island. In the village nearby, Água de Pau, you will find Taxi and BUS service.

Quiet Setting

House was very comfortable. For those who do not wish to stay in the city (which was the case for me), this is a wonderful option. Francisco was incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Fabulous location but slightly let down due to need for updating

Property looked amazing from afar but when used it becomes clear it needs updating. The electrics and plumbing could all do with attention. The property manager was outstanding and had to come in several times due to things not working or with queries.
