"We love the Upper House and look forward to every visit. Our room with dual aspect at the front of the house was lovely, comfortable, and spotless. The fan was a welcome addition to the room considering the heat that week. Breakfast was very good, a good selection of options on the menu and laid out on the tables. The food at dinner wasn't quite up to their usual standard which was a little disappointing considering the high cost per meal. Plenty of available parking. A wedding was celebrated...

"My room, which was beautiful, was at the front of the hotel. Given that this is the main high street area, it was so loud. There are benches outside the front and a gang of youths hung around there, shouting, making noise, throwing things till after 11pm. The road sweeper came before 6am and the hanging basket watering company came before 6am too. "The room was clean and reasonably priced. Sadly I didn’t sleep well as the mattress wasn’t very comfortable - small for a double, and it felt like we were rolling together . "Staff were good, especially the receptionist on checking in, with the exception of a member of the breakfast staff who wasn't really interested in taking the order for breakfast.
