A hotel with amazing staff and an extremely helpful owner manager.
Beautiful art deco style decor throughout and a lift to all floors as well as stairs, if you would prefer.
The reception area is very well kept and the dining area, of to the right, is also.
The rooms are delightful, we had good views of the terrace below and could see the main tower in the square from both windows. We had room 8.1 which I believe was a larger bed.
Stacks of choice for breakfast, meats & cheeses, cooked eggs & bacon, pastries, cereal, fruit and tea & coffee.
We had booked an Auschwitz trip for 0900 Sunday but that got changed to an 0520 pick up, yes, not a typo!
The owner/manger, who's name I still can't pronounce, made us a breakfast bag for pick up at 0445, what an absolute star. If that isn't pushing the boundaries I don't know what is.
Auschwitz is a very long day, with a very early start, it was a bit too much for me, as I suffer with many ailments.
Please be prepared! Buy any mars bars, sweets, drinks and food before you go, as the vending machines at the site are horrifically expensive.
It's a 2 minute walk to the main square, where you are spoilt for choice for menus, drinks & desserts.
We would happily stay here again and would not bother looking anywhere else.
