Our stay was a great week away with family , staff and food were wonderful really made our stay , our family were 23 people in total consisting of 16 adults and 6 kids ranging from7 months to 5 years old. A few things in the actual accomodation could use attention but honestly the most perfect location where else could you snorkel on the reef with so many different fish life, coral within just a few steps from your Bure. The staff at this property were wonderful the food was awesome and for a big family to be able stay altogether and enjoy our time together we wouldn’t have it any other way .

Wonderful staff and location

The staff were amazingly welcoming the whole time and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. The location is about 1.5 hour drive from the airport but is set in a lovely small community. We arranged food at de vos which was delicious and removed all the hassle of having to arrange food. There is a well stocked store ~5 mins away though if you need. Thank you Annemarie and the crew, we could not have asked for a better stay!

I don’t really want to share this special place

Just lovely. Great property in a beautiful location which perfectly met our needs as a large family group. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and responsive to any issues. They even allowed us to bring our nieces and nephews who live locally for a swim in the pool. The staff were superb and couldn’t do enough for us. We heartily recommend De Vos - the private residence.

Broken into cash and iPad

Tired accomodation in an unsafe area. Main house rooms are like a hostel. Stained sheets, water leaking out of the air conditioner etc etc. Bures were old and in need of cleaning and updating. Our plunge pool was green and unusable. During our brief stay one of the bures was broken into while we were having dinner in the main house. We were told to lock our doors at all times. We now know why. The locks on the doors had previously had a hard time. Management was appalling in their response to the break in not even having the decency to show up until 10.00pm the following night. Owner told us it was very unfortunate we were broken into. How about sorry that happened to you. We moved to a resort 3 days into our 9 day holiday so we would feel safe. If you want to be disappointed stay here.

Great from every aspect

Wonderful location to relax and enjoy snorkelling and canoeing in the lagoon, and of course the pool and amenity of the resort. The staff were 100% lovely, helpful and accommodating. We very much enjoyed the bbq and bonfire on the beach, the guided walk on the reef, wonderful meals and tutoring in weaving. We take away lovely memories; supported by ease and pleasure of staying the The Private Residence.

A Perfect Vacation

Our stay at the de Vos Private Residence was nothing short of exceptional. We were provided with outstanding service during the entirety of our stay; from coordinated airport transportation, to waterfall excursions, and on-site activities. The entire staff was incredibly accommodating and especially friendly. Our rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and clean, as was the entire resort. We are so thankful to everyone for making our trip truly memorable. Our family vacation could not have been better.
