"We loved this hotel. There are 2 hot tubs outside which were very enjoyable on a cold day. The room is simple but clean. Breakfast is served in the cabin next to the hotel and it was very good. There aren’t many restaurants around the area so make a reservation at Mika- that may have been the best meal we had in Iceland. They make their own chocolate so get the best chocolate cake you’ve ever had."

"we stayed for 1 night in this beautiful property. it was so peaceful and serene. our room had a balcony and we were able to sit, watch the sun set, and take in the vastness of icelandic skies. there was self serve juice and hot cocoas available, which was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking and driving."

"Stayed here for a night as a couple - absolutely LOVED it. Air in the bubble room was cool inside (despite it being sunny and warm outside). Linens were super high quality. No one else there; it was off-season (May). We only had four hours of darkness, but the trees provided shading and it was easy to get a great night sleep. "Very modern and nice little house in the middle of nowhere. We were very lucky with the northern lights. The windows in the roof are cool and something unique. Please note that the key box was frozen (end of October) and therefore we had problems to open it. A few more hooks in the bathroom would be a nice addition. "Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts."
