No juzgues un libro por su portada. Muchas veces nos han dicho que el exterior no le hace justicia al interior. Está bien amueblado y es más grande de lo que cabría esperar.
El Blue Oasis es una cabaña amueblada perfecta para esa escapada a la playa que está disponible para alquiler de sábado a sábado durante la temporada alta.

Cerca del K-Mart en Kill Devil Hills en el puesto 6 de la milla. 5, es un corto paseo de 4 minutos por las calles del vecindario hasta la carretera de la playa y luego al acceso público de 5th St. con un socorrista. Esta casa es ideal para 2 familias con 2 habitaciones queen size, un baño, sala de estar y cocina en el primer piso. El segundo piso al que se accede a través de la puerta de la cocina o la entrada lateral para mayor privacidad tiene una habitación queen, una habitación con una litera piramidal (doble en la parte inferior y doble en la parte superior) y una doble. This cottage was perfect for my family’s 5 night stay. Very clean, great location and outdoor space, plus an easy walk to the beach. Cottage was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and we especially loved having the beach cart and chairs to take to the beach. Lauralee provided lots of helpful info, great recommendations, and we didn’t have any problems at all during our stay. We had a great vacation and would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Oasis! We haven’t traveled as a family in several years and this spot perfectly fit the bill. The amenities were excellent and the location can’t be beat. Short walk to the beach and all of the KDH/OBX attractions (restaurants, shopping, etc.) are just a short drive away. Oh, and our adult children really enjoyed the “kiddie” pool (big enough for 6 adults to hang out in) and hot tub in the backyard. And the beach chairs, wagon and tent in the storage shed were very useful for the beach. We had a blast and would definitely consider coming back in the future. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy cottage. Each bedroom had comfortable beds and beautiful decor. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The kitchen has all the cooking items you may need. The cottage is just a short walk to the beach, and you can also relax in the hot tub out back. There is a Target within walking distance as well if you forget anything. Everything about this place is perfect. We would definitely stay here again. We were lucky to have found it!

Oasis away from home

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. It did not disappoint. The Blue Oasis was a home away from home with everything we could possibly need. The walk to the beach was easy and also a short walk to many great restaurants and attractions. It was the perfect way to spend our Independence Day.

My family and I spent a week at the property and had a great time! The kiddie pool was a huge hit for my grandson! The house was located close to so many things, Target, WaWa, Awful Arthur’s! Short walk to the beach and great amenities! Would definitely stay here again! Also, I forgot a load of laundry in the dryer, the owners are sending my clothes bag via the mail. Great customer service and a great property!

A very special oasis

I visited with my husband, two children (7 and 10), and parents, who are both above 70. We had a blast and felt like we were at a home away from home in a vacation spot! Our children hung out in the hot tub every day, and sometimes, twice a day! The back yard is charming, with a hammock, swing, fire pit and patio. Laurelee was an exceptional host. She gave us detailed instructions on operating the hottub, which was very helpful. We also got some great restaurant recommendations. She stayed in touch and responed immediately if we had any questions. You can’t beat the location. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Our children had great fun flying kites and we watched the sun rise. Blue Oasis is truly a treasure!

OBX Vacation

Blue Oasis was as advertised - a clean and cute house close to the beach and other activities. We enjoyed our brief stay in the OBX area. Often proximity to beaches bring noise yet this neighborhood was great. Thankful to Lauralee for making this a relaxing and activity-filled stay for us.

The walk to the beach was quick 3 to 5 min walk, there's stores and restaurants to walk to close by. The pier was so cool and you can walk right to that also. I will try to stay here again plenty of room. Bigger in person in the pictures

Family Friendly

We booked this at the last minute and we were so glad we did. The house is well cared for and cozy. We really felt at home. The bottom floor is the original 2-bedroom house with an addition upstairs that allows for an extra queen bedroom, separate bunk room and living area with a walk in shower. Our kids loved having their own “area” of the house. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, even syrup and spices. Overall the house was very clean. The backyard has a fire pit, hammock, couch, tiny pool for the kids, and a hot tub! My kids were obsessed with the hot tub. It was also stocked with a beach cart and nice Tommy Bahama chairs, tents, umbrellas and toys for the beach. It was so nice not to have to pack any of that stuff into the car. The location is ideal- only a quick 3 block walk to the 5th street ocean beach access. The beach access was a ramp- no steps. (There is room for 5 cars to park, but we never needed to because the walk was quick.) The house is just off the main road, so a little bit noisy at times, but it was worth not having to cross that road to get to the beach. There is also a new Target (with a Starbucks) 2 blocks away. The grocery store is also right across from the target. Lauralee was very kind and accessible if we needed anything. It was clear how much energy she has invested in making sure we enjoyed our stay and at the same time took good care of the house. We recommend The Blue Oasis for your escape to the beach!

Blue Oasis

Good location, near everything including a nearby stop light to get across traffic and a short walk to beach. The kids (even the big ones) enjoyed the little pool and the hot tub was great after a long drive and the treks across the dunes. Perfect size for our group and the beach toys and amenities provided were an added bonus. The hostess was very helpful and provided alot of local information and detailed instructions making checkin/checkout and everything in between an easy process.

Wonderful oasis!

The Blue Oasis surpassed our expectations. The upstairs area was a perfect getaway for our teens to have their own space. Every attention to detail was noticed- from the well stocked kitchen to the amazing bath products and everything in between. It truly was a home away from home for the week.

Great experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and in a great location- close to the beach and the activities in Kill Devils, but also central to all the other outer banks towns we wanted to visit. Although there were just two of us on this trip, we commented several times that this house would be perfect for multiple families traveling together. The owner is very thoughtful in her communication and in the amenities provided in the house. The backyard was also really nice. It was too cold for us to enjoy the pool, but we did nap in the hammock and build a fire in the pit. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location

House had everything we needed. Great location for dining, beach access and plenty of space for family activities. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook and the backyard pool keeps the kids entertained after a long day at the beach. Highly recommend this house.

Fully stocked inside and out

This house lives bigger than it looks from the outside! A big sectional in the LR for relaxing, another living room upstairs gives space to spread out. Beds are made, bathrooms are stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Kitchen has everything you need! I loved the back patio with a large sun shade for afternoon relaxing out of the hot sun (I think the photos show an umbrella but it is now a much larger sun shade). Fire pit with fire logs provided, beach chairs and umbrella, and even a small pool (maybe 24” deep and 6’ across) with a pump so it’s refreshing for both kids and adults, and sounds like a water feature next to the patio! Very relaxing! We loved our time there!

The house was just as cute as pictured. The proximity to the beach was easy. It had just the right amount of bedrooms and baths. There were lots of toys and games to keep the grandkids busy and they LOVED the pool. I highly recommend renting from Lauralee; she was very polite and responsive. We hope to visit again!

Great week in OBX!

Our family of 5 with kids aged 9, 8 and 6 had a great time at the Blue Oasis and it is exactly as described. Easily could have fit another small family without feeling cramped. The same house was stocked very well which helped not having to bring as much on our drive from the northeast. Short walk to the beach, stores, restaurant and pier. The backyard was a huge plus over other houses and the kids loved cooling off in the pool when we weren’t at the beach. Lauralee was extremely helpful providing info especially since it was our first time in the area. Highly recommend the Blue Oasis!
