"Excellent large, attractive spaces— beautifully decorated ! Asked for a 2 bedroom and was given a 3 bedroom, well equipped bathrooms . The balcony had glass windbreaks which made the wind off Lake Michigan more bearable on the windy days. Would stay again, again, & again!"

"Very good communication, easy accessible great downtown area. They should have mentioned in the beginning that parking would be an issue, we did not find that should be the case. I would suggest that the owners put wash clothes in the bathroom to be used there were none in there."

"We loved staying in an iconic mushroom house (smallest one I think) and the house is surprisingly spacious. The design of the “Half House” is well-organized inside, you just feel like an oversized person in a hobbit house in the most adorable way (yes, ceiling height was great!). The fireplace was our favorite feature. Our host was kind and gracious, all amenities were supplied and we just loved it here. "

"We absolutely loved our stay! The location was ideal, and the home itself—both indoors and out—was beautiful and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing getaway. "This property was perfect. Spacious and clean and quiet. The host company communicated with us as needed and were so helpful in answering any questions. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family of two adults and two kids traveling with grandma. Everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed. No complaints at all. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"The room was very clean. Most things worked great and the room was well stocked. The light in the bathroom doesn’t work, so they just put up a few of those little stick on lights which was not enough after dark. The bed closest to the window has a big divot from over-use. "This is a unique residence that embodies the history of the Traverse City State Hospital albeit with the modern amenities you would expect.
