On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. "Very clean and sufficient for my needs for a one night stop over. Single room. Some issues with a door to the bathroom, but problem resolved swiftly even late at night. Hong, the manager/owner? of the facility was very helpful and resolved the problem swiftly and with good natured manner. Would recommend to others, on the basis of the room I used."

"Received a parking charge even though we went to reception on arrival and correctly wrote our car registration correctly on a form provided by staff. Wife rang hotel today and person who answered automatically guessed what the issue was suggesting this is a very common issue with this hotel. He took the expedia booking number and apparently got it cancelled. "We used to stay here many years back when visiting relatives in the area. Now it has turned into a Spa Resort, great for those who like and want to be pampered, no problems there, but we did find the restaurants evening menu is now very restricted for choice., plus there was always cold blasts of air, making it very uncomfortable to dine. Back in the day the then Ostler restaurant was far superior"
