"Amazing - no other words needed! A two night stay in one of the tree houses - had the camp to ourselves , which was perfect. Wild elephant encounter on our way in, had to reroute on the way out due to ele on the road (? Same guy?) . But a great detour . Just chilled in the fish spa and ate lots. "

"I have no idea why people have rated this place so high. I chose this place because she claimed to have wifi. She does not have wifi. She has a cellphone with a hotspot that she never turns on. If she does turn it on, it doesn't work when she takes the phone with her when she leaves. She also turns the phone off when she goes to sleep. I told her twice that I needed the internet to make a very important phone call late at night. She forgot. Turned off her cellphone. I had no internet,...

"We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are quiet, located in a lovely garden setting set back from the main road. Our hosts were very helpful, arranging transportation to the World Heritage Sites and a local dance presentation. Hosts will prepare breakfasts and dinners. The dinners we ate there were excellent. Best food in the area. "

"Hotell Nadun Rest har upphört att existera så det var i det närmaste omöjligt att hitta dit. Nya hotellägarna hade informerat Hotels.com om detta men gamla namnet låg fortfarande ute och då med info att det fanns frukost och restaurang. Dåligt av Hotels.com!! Nya ägarna var ändå väldigt hjälpsamma och ordnade frukost och tog oss till en restaurang på eget initiativ. Hotellet heter numera Monkey Garden och har väldigt enkla övernattningsrum."

"When I arrived I was told the hotel was closed. I took pictures to prove I was there as I had already paid through Expedia. I then had a ‘neighbour’ show up to ‘offer’ alternate accommodation at a very much more cost! The hotel is on a back street and when confronted with having to find an option on the day when I was hoping to visit the palace I conceded to the higher price. This was classic ‘bait & switch! Do not ever book this hotel!!!!"

"A fantastic family run Guest House ideally situated for the Rock Fortress, Elephant Safari and Ancient Cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. All the family made us feel at home. Dinesh who runs the place arranged all our trips for us. Rooms are clean and comfortable and set in a tropical jungle like garden. Meals were lovely and plenty of variety. We highly recommend this Guest House and would love to go back one day. "
