La cabaña de madera de nueva construcción, recién terminada en 2017 en 17 acres con 1200 pies de entrada, ofrece privacidad y fantásticas vistas de Cherry Pond y de Mt Waumbek a Vermont. La propiedad linda con el Bosque Nacional White Mountain y puede caminar desde la parte superior de la propiedad hasta Owls Head y Mt Martha, que está a unos 3. 0 millas de ida y 1600 pies de cambio de elevación. Owls Head ofrece fantásticas vistas de toda la gama presidencial. El dormitorio del primer piso tiene una cama queen y la sala de estar tiene un sofá cama de tamaño completo. Todos los colchones son nuevos colchones viscoelásticos. Hay un loft de almacenamiento al que se accede por una escalera, no por escaleras, por lo que no es apropiado para niños menores de 5 años o personas que no pueden subir una escalera. La cabina está fuera de la red eléctrica con paneles solares y baterías. Un baño completo con ducha y una ducha al aire libre. Fantástico cubierto proyectado en el porche para disfrutar de las vistas y hay un pabellón que cubre el área de fogatas con mesa de picnic que también tiene fantásticas vistas. La recepción del teléfono celular es muy buena con Verizon y hay un servicio 4G y LTE. La cabina no tiene WIFI ni TV. Se entiende como una escapada y para desconectarse. Durante el día, la vista es increíble y por la noche las estrellas son increíbles, casi sin contaminación lumínica.

En la temporada de invierno, se recomienda tener vehículos AWD o 4WD ya que el camino de entrada es de aproximadamente 1200 pies de largo cuesta arriba con una pendiente del 10%.

Cabin has a cute rustic charm. Very easy check in and when we had a small issue, then was quick to respond and had it fixed before we return from our day. Enjoyed the isolation and the porch was great to sit on at night.

Tucked away and glorious

Such a wonderful location and comfortable accommodations! Private, and yet sweeping views including the sunset. Some road noise, but it died down after dark, and the quiet was glorious. The screened-in porch with chairs was a favorite spot for us. Cell service was adequate, we didn't miss having wifi. The bed was comfy, we were able to cook in the kitchen, the wildflowers outside were lovely, and I'm curious about the recently planted fruit trees. Thank you for sharing this beautiful corner of the planet.

Beautiful Cabin

What a wonderful experience. Each morning coffee on the screened in porch. At night, watching the stars that seemed like you could touch them. Mt Washington was a short drive where we took cog railway to top. The cabin is perfect for anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy nature. Ben, thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin.

Mountain Getaway

Beautiful secluded cabin but with everything you need to enjoy the mountains and recharge. The porch provides hours of peace and enjoyment just watching the views. Kitchen has everything you need, the beds are very comfortable, and the fire pit area provides another hangout space. Can’t wait to return.

My Side of The Mountain

In my opinion, this is the quintessential 'cabin in the mountains'. It has stunning views and gorgeous sunsets that can be enjoyed from the screened in porch. It's in the 'wild' (but not too far from attractions), and is the perfect place to 'disconnect' from the world and enjoy the North Country! Ben is a fantastic host, his cabin had everything we needed, and it is a very clean and well maintained property. We are all looking forward to coming back again!

The best cabin we have stayed at.

My wife and I have been staying at various cabins in and around NH for a number of years. We like to find places in close proximity to the White Mountains for hiking. Ben’s place is exactly the spot we have been looking for for years. It checked every box, close to the whites, attractions and great places to eat within a short driving distance. The cabin was super clean, private and comfortable. We loved ot and can’t wait to go back.

Peaceful stay

Ben's cabin was lovely! We loved the location, which was very private yet close to hiking trails and central to a few different towns. It was obvious that Ben and his family thought through every detail when building this camp. The view from the property was lovely, and the outdoor patio/fire pit area was amazing. While a cabin, it is stocked with top quality cookware and linens as well - a very nice surprise if you are not expecting it. While we did not use the bicycles, there were three in the basement available for use, and the Presidential Bike trail is nearby. Following the stream up the mountain will bring you to the forest, marked with red paint on the trees. There is a trail that runs along the perimeter of the forest, which was enjoyable. Ben was very responsive as well, which we appreciated! We hope to be able to return!

Cozy Cabin

Unplug and Enjoy the Beauty

Beautiful Mountain View’s, cabin was perfect. No TV was great. Home owner was in touch when necessary for solar and any other questions. We had snow while there and driveway was taken care of. Highly recommend this place.

Great location and spectacular view

This cabin was in a great location and the front deck area had a great view.The cabin was very clean and had ample heat, hot water, and oven/ stovetop and refrigerator functioning well. After I had reached the host by email he was quick to reply by text. I had to email him the day before rental to get the key code number and then he did say he would email me directions/info which I never received. The VRBO directions told us to look for Hazen road and there was no Hazen Road dign, it was Airport Rd., and I had to reach out to him the day before stay for key code.Alhe was very quick to respond.

This cabin is just perfect! It’s beautiful. I cannot say enough about it - super clean, beautiful surroundings, this was my husband’s second time staying here and we will definitely be back. The kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed hiking in the area and the foliage was incredible!

Family stay at Jefferson

Ben’s cabin is amazing! So much that we want to come back here next time! My toddler almost 3 y and my wife stayed there for labour day weekend. Cabin has everything you need for simple cozy lifestyle! It is tucked in the woods while road to get there is very accessible.we grilled cooked and enjoyed the stay while having amazing views!

Perfect White Mountains Getaway

My daughter and I had an amazing time at Ben's cabin. It was our first time in the White Mountains and we were not disappointed! The cabin is so clean and cozy and close enough to what we wanted to see and do. The views of the mountains and Cherry pond from the front porch were breathtakingly beautiful! It was wonderful to enjoy the sunrise, sunset and actually see the stars without any light pollution from the comfort of the front porch. I have to admit, the thought of being off the grid and up on the side of a mountain away from everything and everyone was a little scary at first, but once we settled in, we realized why we chose this cabin and weren't missing out on anything! It was the perfect place to relax and rewind and get away from the every day grind. Ben was very attentive and provided all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. I enjoyed looking at his "My Side of the Mountain" picture book chronicling his building of the cabin from start to finish. You can see the pride he and his family put into every little detail and truly appreciate him opening up his cabin for all to enjoy. We wished we could have stayed longer but hope to come back again soon!!
