Beachfront condo with outdoor pool, patio & washer/dryer - dog-friendly

Lovely and well-maintained, this fabulous condo has a large patio off the living room, and another off of the primary bedroom. The patios nearly sit atop the beautiful sand dunes. Our guests will experience a sense of privacy while relaxing on the Adirondack chairs, watching the sunrise as you enjoy your cup of coffee, or savoring an outdoor meal with the ocean breeze. The patio is also located near a green space which is perfect for tossing a football or watching your children or grandchildren enjoying the island sun.

This beautiful condo has recent renovations including marble floors, gorgeous wood plank ceilings, modern bathrooms, crown molding and woodwork, a vanity in the primary bedroom, and personal and creative designer touches throughout. The kitchen has been updated with all new flatware, dishes, pots, pans, a Keurig coffeemaker, and more. The living space was designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. Kick back on possibly the world's most comfortable couch. Get a great night's sleep on the king, queen, or twin-size beds. The plantation shutters provide privacy at night, but open to provide spectacular ocean views during the day.

The living room has a large comfortable couch and two comfortable padded rockers. Enjoy watching a game on the large flatscreen television (with cable access), or watch a movie on the DVD player. The dining room table has room for four with additional seating for three more at the bar. Guests will enjoy the attention to detail and fun décor throughout the condo.

The ground floor gives guests ease and convenience for moving from the parking lot to the condo and patios and onto the beautiful beach. There is a small ramp for access from the parking lot to the sidewalk and the condo entry doorway is 35 inches at its most narrow point. This could be accessible for wheelchairs of this width or smaller.

The condo has a primary suite with an oceanfront patio and view, a king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower (it also has an additional vanity and basin, a wall-mounted flatscreen television and cable access, and a large walk-in closet in which the rollaway bed is kept. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a twin bed. The attached renovated bathroom has a large walk-in shower. This bedroom also has a flatscreen television and cable access.

Beautiful view

The view was beautiful. Easy access to beach. Lovely community. Loved the table and chairs on the porch. Rained every day but one while we were there. The place needs some attention. Desperately needs new mattress in main bedroom. Bathroom by front door needs a deep clean. The couch needs need seat cushions. Appreciate that this was dog friendly and on first floor

Nice Condo

Condo & Location very nice. The chair near the windows smells quite musty but furnishings very comfortable. The bed in the Master is the most comfortable bed we have ever had in any place we have ever stayed. The shower in the Master suite is dated & slick. I have an issue with the complex not the condo but I fell going down the walk way going towards beach because there are no grippers on the walk way. The sand under sandals makes walk way slippery. I am 55 but if someone older fell like I did they would probably break bones. Would rent this condo again.

Tidy and dog friendly

The unit was very clean. Each room could use a coat of paint. Given the unit is dog friendly the furniture was very acceptable. I always cover the couches and chairs with large sheets just in case. It looks like the owner demands exceptional housekeeping. Thank you!

The location of this condo is lovely - a tortoise came right up to the patio to visit! It has a nice, well stocked kitchen and adequate furnishings and decor. The walls do need paint and other touchup. There is considerable staining on the carpets in both the master and guest bedrooms. VRBO actually phoned me before my arrival to warn me and say that the owners hadn't had time to replace it. But even that didn't prepare me for how bad it was - someone had put plastic runners down in the master br. When I read through the previous reviews, it appeared that this has been the case for at least a year. It was unfortunate because it gives the whole condo a feeling of uncleanliness. Other that that I truly enjoyed staying there. The community is quiet and very dog friendly, which I loved.

Everything was good except cable tv situation. Need more news channels and channels for children. Otherwise. Very nice and well equipped condo. Carpet in main bedroom needs deep cleaning or replaced.

We had a good time even during a Nor'easter. The surf was spectacular! My only minor complaint is minimal cleaning supplies, paper towels (1), toilet paper (2) and trash can bags (2). There were few bath towels. We had brought some of our own and used them as well.

Relaxing

We all loved the property and location. The only problem was parking. One reserved space is fine but we had 2 cars and there were only 5 extra non-reserved spots. We ended up parking at another building and walking to the condo. Also the sink in the second bedroom was clogged.

Anniversary switch

Found a quiet beachfront townhouse but due to construction had to request switch. Got a mid rise condo. Not exactly how we wanted to spend our anniversary after coming VRBO for weeks and our 1st stay in the area. However the manager at the rental company was awesome - she made a bad situation okay. Amelia Island is gorgeous! Trip to shopping/food/town was convenient. Still need to find the better restaurants. So we’ll be back for sure and we’ll start with the rental co first; so kind and helpful.

We loved this property! Very clean and nicely decorated. We have stayed in Sailmaker before but the view from this unit was the best. Unobstructed views of the ocean. Nice outdoor furniture to enjoy the view. The bottom floor unit made it easy to take our dog for a walk and for coming and going from the beach. You won't go wrong with this unit!

Short stay!

We arrived on November 3, 2020 and the condo was pretty much what we expected by the listing on VRBO. The condo, which is on the first floor is very convenient to unloading since you can park right in front of it. The condo itself needs some updating in our opinion and there are areas of paint that need immediate attention as there is some peeling in the great room. Unfortunately, the next day as we were having breakfast this unbelievable noise began right next door as they began breaking up the tile floor with a jack hammer. This caused our floor to vibrate and the noise was unbearable for people who have migraine headaches especially! We called Amelia Rental & Management and they immediately were able to move us to another location. I can't say enough good things about their representative Lezlie who went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our experience. Because of the fantastic service we received from Amelia Rental we had a great week in Florida! Rick & Rebecca

Perfect beach week!

Rental process went very smooth! Unit was clean and kitchen nicely stocked. Had regular and keurig coffee makers-most important 😁. Only thing we missed was grilling out. It would have been nice to have that option. Wonderful week!!

Great Place but Need Better Cable

We really enjoyed our stay in the condo. It was well furnished, comfortable, and had a nice view of the ocean. Easy access to the beach and excellent location on the island. We have stayed in other condos within Sailmaker and the planation but this one has been the best. Look forward to staying here again. Only downside of staying at this place was the limited channels received with the cable. Only very limited basic channels were available to watch. When spending a significant amount of money for a rental one expects to have more than only local stations to watch. Owner needs to spend the extra money to enhance cable package to at least include HGTV, TBS, Food Network, Weather Channel, Golf Channel, etc. This would make it a 5 star rating.
