"My partner and I stayed 2 nights and loved it here. This place had what we needed to rest after enjoying the city. We got lucky and found a free spot for our car and parking was free. Our room was clean. We didn't get a balcony but the walkway to our room was basically like a balcony. Loved that Pier 39 was just a 20 min walk away. So much to explore nearby that is walking distance! Would definitely stay here again."

"This motel has easy FREE parking, it is clean, safe, and well presented and maintained. It is extremely well positioned where walking to great hang outs is easy, and driving to great places is equally as convenient. The rooms are not huge, but large enough for a five night stay. I highly recommend the Star Motel."

"Staff was amazing - rooms are small but clean. Queen bed was NOT a queen but a double. Breakfast was poor and one day they had no coffee after 8:30 even though breakfast is served till 10:00 am. Area is very central to everything but not the best area in the evening with the homeless / lots closed down you have to know where you are going. Staff at the hotel was helpful and wonderful!"

"We stay at a lot of Four Seasons and this one seemed just like an average hotel room. It was nice but for the price you pay it should be excellent. The room was just so-so for us. We had to move rooms when we first got there because the toilet was broken. After a long day of traveling that was aggravating. Some of our other family stayed at the Ritz and it was much better IMO. For the price, I’d stay somewhere else."

"My daughter and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency SOMA for four nights - the hotel is beautiful, tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. The room was spotless, the staff was friendly and the prompt daily room service was appreciated. We took advantage of the food in the Regency Room - snacks and beverages available all day, breakfast was a plentiful buffet which we enjoyed every morning. The staff behind the desk were always very helpful as we were new to the city - they helped us with taxis...

"Rooms are very small. Our main door was broken and did not work properly. After maintenance reviews it they said they would come back to fix but they didn’t. The toilet in room and sliding glass door in closet were also broken. It’s extremely loud all night long causing you to wake up multiple times a night. Kids enjoyed the games room. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful."
