Istanbul is a city I visit every year, and this was my first time staying at this boutique hotel. Overall, it was a lovely experience. The property is spotless, with spacious rooms and an excellent location just behind İstiklal Caddesi—meaning shopping, restaurants, and nightlife are right on your doorstep. Taksim Metro is about an 8‑minute walk, and the Galata Tower can be reached in under 20 minutes on foot. Complimentary water was provided, and the hotel sits on a quiet street, making it perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The staff were generally pleasant and welcoming. However, my one disappointment—and the reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5—was the reception experience. While most staff were kind, the lady at reception came across as cold and overly focused on selling overpriced tours and airport transfers (€70 one‑way, compared to under €5 by Metro). Despite my polite refusals, she repeatedly insisted, which detracted from the otherwise excellent stay. If not for this, I would gladly return to this hotel on my next trip to Istanbul.
