"We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. "

"This was without a doubt our favorite stay in Switzerland. Sunstar Hotel in Grindelwald is simply amazing—the views, the atmosphere, the service, and the location are all outstanding. The staff made us feel so welcome, and the hotel itself has a warm, inviting charm. But what truly took our breath away was the view from our room. Waking up to those stunning mountains felt like waking up in heaven—an experience that fills you with gratitude. We will always remember our stay here and cannot wait...

"We were able to check in early, and to our surprise, our rooms were upgraded to family suites, which was much appreciated given my wife’s mobility needs. My wife stopped by the front desk to ask about the route route to Lauterbrunnen, Mürren, and the Schilthorn. A little later, there was a knock on our door — Judit from the front desk came by and walked us through a clear, step-by-step plan for the journey. It was thoughtful and took the guesswork out of the morning. "

"Amazing stay! Beautiful mountain views and a few minute walk to bus/train terminal. Could not recommend more. Only downside was reception wasn’t available 24/7 and there was construction going on but other than that it was a great experience."

"J’ai séjourné 4 nuits dans une chambre supérieure avec un balcon et avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes. J’ai tout aimé de cet hôtel. Il est légèrement en retrait de la rue principale donc c’est tranquille et paisible. Il est à proximité de la gare mais la pente est plutôt raide pour monter à l’hôtel. L’hôtel n’est pas moderne mais à tout le charme rustique de la Suisse. C’est propre et bien entretenu. Le lit est confortable, la chambre supérieure est spacieuse en plus du petit coin salon...

"If heaven had a franchise, it would be here. The only problem is we lost an Apple product and could see it move away (likely taken by staff since it was in spa robes) but the staff didn’t offer any compensation. That was the only down side. "
