Disfrute de hermosas vistas a las montañas y al río desde nuestra relajante propiedad.
Ubicado a las afueras de Hveragerði en la región sur, una pequeña ciudad a 30 minutos de Reykjavik y cerca del Círculo Dorado. Hveragerði tiene una tienda de comestibles, una tienda de vinos, algunas piscinas maravillosas y muchas rutas de senderismo.

Kristin was a fantastic host! Super communicative and helpful. Everything was perfect upon our arrival and easy to access. The home is stunning and was perfect for our group of 11 people - 6 adults and 5 children.

This property was perfect! The hot tub experience next to the river was very unique and the highlight of this house. The house was very clean and had all the amenities that would be needed. There was more than enough space for everyone! Very nicely furnished. Loved the heated floor and towel rack in the master bath. It was a great location for seeing the Golden Circle. We spent a day hiking Reykjdalur hot spring thermal river and another day on a hike of the Solheimajokull Glacier. Both were the highlights of our trip. I would love to return and spend more time in this serene home and town.

Kristín’s home in Hveragerdi is wonderful! The check in was easy and the house is very spacious. The location in town is perfect, the private river setting and hot tub feels luxurious but town is only a 1 kilometer walk. The kitchen is nice to prepare meals for a group and the dining area seats 8 very comfortably with room for more in the breakfast nook if needed. The bedrooms have ample space for luggage and the beds are Scandinavian style providing nice support. There are plenty of books and games to play, puzzles to do, and an entertainment area with a Sonos system throughout the house. The sitting area near the fireplace was particularly nice for the adults in our group to visit. The deck space and grill were an added bonus when the weather allowed for some outdoor time. We loved our stay and hope to come back again someday!

Beautiful Home on the Southern Coast

The house was a perfect size for our family of 10 (ages 21-84) during out winter trip to Iceland. The location was great to visit all the sites (Golden Circle, South Coast, Reykjavik). There was lots of relaxing space and the bedrooms were a good size. We appreciated the fireplace, dining table for 10, and the guest house. Please know that one of the bathrooms does not have a standard shower and the kitchen is very tight for a large party. Communication with the owner was outstanding. We loved our stay.

Wonderful Christmas Getaway

We rented the house as a Christmas getaway for 8 adults to relax and hopefully see the northern lights. No luck on the northern lights but the host, house, and location were all perfect! The hot tub on the river and the wood burning fireplace were winter highlights for us with the house. We also appreciated the proximity to the nearby geothermal area. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful property!

Our group of 11 had a great time at this property. We saw the northern lights from the jacuzzi that we enjoyed nightly. The food and people in town were lovely. I would highly recommend this property.

Marvelous Experience

Facilities were perfect for our diverse group of 11. Beautiful location along a river and close to town making it easy to see the sights and shop for supplies with plenty of restaurants available. Also, hosts were always available and more than willing to answer questions.

AMAZING PROPRETY!!!!

It was such a beautiful and relaxing property. The house was as advertised and then some! The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed. The hot tub was fantastic. All the areas of the house to hang out in. The area surrounding the house was beautiful to explore with a waterfall close along the hiking trails. The town was cute and had great food options as well as a grocery store. The property was perfectly situated to everything our family wanted to do. The host, Kristin was responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent stay in Hveragerdi in Kristin's lovely quiet home on the river Varma. There were many indoor and outdoor options for us, lots of space for 4 couples and the how tub by the river was perfect! The village and trails are minutes away on foot and it's a quiet beautiful location!

Great Getaway

Beyond Beautiful

The house and property are beautiful. They look exactly like the pictures. Our extended family of 11 fit beautifully. The kitchen had everything we needed and Bonus was conveniently located for us to buy groceries. We ate many meals in the house and we all fit comfortably around the dining room table. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of linens. Booking and payment were easy. Kristen answered all our questions

A true gem!!

What a great house!!! Perfect in every way and I wish we could have stayed longer! Plenty of space for our group of 12. House was clean and comfortable and well stocked in both the kitchen and bathrooms. A wonderful place for hanging out with family, doing puzzles, enjoying the quiet and beauty. Located near hiking trail, local pool, grocery store, gas station, bakery, and restaurants. Close access to the Golden Circle. The house is located in the most beautiful setting with a wide-open field of flowers, horses and mountains in front and a gorgeous relaxing river behind. The jacuzzi next to the river was the cherry on top! We hope to be back again someday and will always cherish the wonderful time we had a this VRBO. The hostess was always accessible and made check in and check out easy and was very pleasant to communicate with.

Christmas in Iceland

This is a spacious property. With good bedrooms and common spaces. The location is beautiful and house is well situated. Lovely views of river and mountains. Our First Trip to Iceland

The property is located in the picturesque, quaint town of Hveragerdi, far enough from Reykjavik to feel a sense of remoteness but close enough to make day trips to the city. It was clean and very much as advertised. We made great use of the hot tub. I would highly recommend this property.

Land before Thyme

We are a family of 9, I have enjoyed Iceland 4 other times in the winter months. Our summer trip was amazing! Centrally located (as much as it can be), great amenities (we enjoyed playing Tony Bennett on the SONOS system), well stocked kitchen AND and amazing hot tub on the creek filled with hot spring water!!!!!!! I cannot express how amazing this property is—plenty of room for all of us to roam in privacy and enough space to enjoy together. A huge THANKS for everything! We will return!

Awesome house in a cute town

Our group of 11 stayed at this house for a week and had an amazing time. We had plenty of space to spread out in the house and the hot tub on the river was a great way to cap off our days of adventuring. The house is within walking distance to town and it is also in a good location to explore Golden Circle, South Coast, and Reykjavik.
