"The best place to stay for miles around is if you are visiting the Redwood National Forest. The room was renovated recently and exceeded our expectations. Not to mention that a real chef prepared our dinner! The front desk worker who checked us out was super friendly and told me about local American Indian culture! "

"Hydrangea Inn a lovely, clean place to stay in Eueraka. It has a home vibe! Breakfast was included and it was a homemade delicious breakfast each morning. Renee the owner offers a comfortable lovely home. I will stay at this location every time I’m in Eureka visiting. I highly recommend it if you’re in the area! "

"What a charming place. Loved the wine and cheese in the afternoon. Breakfast was homemade, original one of the best we have ever had. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the charm and all the little details, tea, china, furnishings. They recommended a Mexican restaurant for dinner with the best fish tacos ever. Will definitely come again!"

"The person that checked us in was friendly. We stayed in room 205 which was a little small but the massively high ceiling made it seem a lot bigger. The bathroom was huge and clean. The sheets on the bed were incredibly soft and the bed was comfortable. The building itself is very cool and has historic photos everywhere. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. Best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. "

"We only stayed one night, but it was such a fun and comfortable experience! Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a great night’s rest. The casino floor was lively and entertaining, with plenty of games and a great atmosphere. Even though our visit was short, we felt taken care of and had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay here again for a longer trip!"

"Rm 231... By far the best hotel shower I've ever experienced, and I've traveled the country coast to coast & border to border annually for 20 years staying in 100's of hotels. This stay was for pleasure. I joined local friends to peruse the Friday market and the Saturday Farmer's Market. Parking can be tricky. Some stress leaving my vehicle parked on the street. No issues occured. I'm not finding any reasons to book elsewhere on my next Arcata visit. "

"Very nice staff. We arrived later than planned. She switched our room so my 90 year old mother didn’t have to climb stairs. She even came across the parking lot and helped me get into the room. Far above any service we’ve received from other hotels on this trip. We would stay here again. Hands down. "

"We loved our time here. We loved the historic vibes and the mid century modern aesthetic that was nice compliment to the craftsman building. We were welcomed with a drink at check-in and also had some complimentary beverages in the fridge in the room. Beds were comfy. showers were excellent with serious water pressure. "Having just packed up from an 8-day camping trip, the sweet, comfy and very private living room and bedroom suite above the garage was perfect for me. The rooms were very clean, there was plenty of hot water, the towels were new and soft and the Dish TV service excellent--plus the hosts kind and attentive. I hope to return to charming Ferndale one day, and enjoy staying at the old inn once again. "
