When leaving the next morning we were told we’d be charged 15$ for late check out. Which we were totally fine with. We do late check out often. "Booking this hotel I had high expectations since at other AC hotels I had an amazing experience. However, this property was a bit different. This hotel is located downtown Houston so please be aware of the many homeless people hanging around. Checking in was breeze everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. After checking in we decided to grab a drink at the hotel's bar and the bartender there was extremely rude. Questioning why we were asking questions about drink ingredients and...

"Staff was fantastic! From the front desk to the valet and housekeeping. Everyone was so helpful and personable. Great location; close to everything we wanted to see. Good restaurant choices near by. We enjoyed the Bayou as well. This will be one of our go to hotels. On another note: Houston needs to provide some services for the unhoused population in downtown areas though. It was heartbreaking to see some many ppl suffering in the midst of"
