"It was a dream come true. Always wanted to stay in a castle and it exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Radcliffe room. Unbelievable. Clean spacious and felt like a princess. Sauna was a nice touch and the bath was absolutely beautiful and spacious enough for 2. Would’ve liked bubble bath or epsom salts that’s the only thing I would’ve asked for. High tea was impressive with plenty of food and evening finding was amazing fresh and tasty. We didn’t want to leave "

"This was such a cute little apartment. It is attached to the Milecastle Pub, which has very delicious food. A portion of Hadrian’s Wall is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend."

Good selection at breakfast, hot breakfast cooked on demand, which was excellent on Saturday and Sunday, less impressive on Monday.
The bedroom was unbearably hot, the fan was unable to cope, but the hotel could not have mitigated this any more, as the room was in full sun all afternoon. "

"Arrived at the lodge and was greeted by 2 lovely hosts who showed us to our room and was very helpful and told us some very interesting facts about the lodges (an all girls school built before the ww2 I do believe ).
The room was very clean and beautiful inside and the small window behind the bed overlooked the forest behind which was beautiful.
Overall very quiet, the only bit of noise is people walking to and from their rooms as they are so close together but we was so tired we eventually...

"Medi, the chef, and his wife, Daniella, run the Inn and gave us both a warm, friendly welcome. The room was tidy and clean and we both had good night's sleeps even though the room was above the pub..I recommend Medi's Eggs Benedict which was fantastic and he also catered in the evening with great home made food - I had the best fish and chips I've had for many a year..I'd recommend the Sunday roast too which was awesome and over generous...and reasonably priced...
Next time we're in the area...

The cottage is well equipped and dog friendly, the only downside was the adjacent Milecastle Inn isn’t doesn’t allow dogs inside. They do allow dogs in the beer garden which would be great in good weather but we visited in early March and it wasn’t sitting out weather. Haltwhistle is short drive away with dog friendly pubs, good Fish and Chips shops and supermarkets.
