"This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station.
We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and parking was onsite and close to the unit. These units are old and have some "quirky" features at times. "The moment we settled in, we felt like we were on holidays. Very clean, well presented accommodation with all the amenities we could want. The heating was on when we arrived which was appreciated because it was a cold, stormy kind of day. Electric blankets on each bed, if required. "Our stay at Hawley House was one of the most superb we can remember anywhere. Sophie was very welcoming and obliging - an all-round excellent hostess. Quality accommodation in well-cared-for but still very warm and homely environment. Fantastic views and easy access to both bush and beach make Hawley House very hard to beat. Hope to stay again in future, and for a longer period next time."
