"Our family take two mini vacations a year. This time we decided to do a non-tourist, non event kind of vacation. This property was perfect. The home was very tastefully decorated, and we enjoyed the host's personal art, which could be seen in every room. The layout of the home and the outside lent itself to a "stay home" kind of vacation, yet when someone needed space there was somewhere, inside or outside to go. "This property was the best equipped location I have ever seen. The kids and younger adults enjoyed the kayaks and all of us enjoyed the cornhole. My granddaughter caught three catfish, one flounder, and two turtles. She was thrilled. I would recommend this to anyone with kids or are kids at heart. Personally, the desk became my favorite spot with a book"

"We had a wonderful stay at East of Edenton on the Albemarle Sound. The views were absolutely stunning, especially the sunsets right over the water—truly peaceful and beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing, making it the perfect spot for my wife and I. The house itself was comfortable and well-kept, and Eric and Julianne were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The dozens of classic rock albums were a nice bonus.
