"We stayed in Executive Super King room. We had a very spacious comfortble bed, sofa, tea/coffee making facilities. Separate shower/toilet with toiletries. I did not notice if there was a safe in the room. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was perfect and lovely presentation. We had to fill a Form for breakfast the night before which is fine as there would be no food wastage. My only concern was they held £50 which did not clear my account until after 4 day. "Very efficient, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The surrounding area felt a bit run down and unsafe. However the train station was nearby and there are several bus routes available. "

"It was close to the city centre necessitating only a short taxi ride for us. It was walkable but would take about 20 minutes rather than the 10 stated. There were lots of stairs in the property ( we were on the second floor) no lift in the property which was a downside with luggage. Overall very clean and comfortable and would stay again."

"A really nice quaint old building with countless amounts of wonderful antiques that you can look at throughout the stairwell and hallway the room was adequately appointed beds were very comfortable. Shower over the bath was great. The stuff were very welcoming and friendly. Unlikely to go back again if I need a location stay in the area I’d recommend it 100 hundred percent great value for money. "

"We were allocated the Shropshire suite, which is plain with no designer features, but has an en-suite, and is accessed from outside. It's a 300 year old inn, so if you expect a BnB type experience rather than a hotel, you won't be disappointed. The breakfast was really good. The skylight needs a blind as the early morning light wakes you up at dawn. The fan in the en-suite also didn't work, perhaps explaining the black mould in the shower tiling. But it was otherwise clean, and perfectly located...

"People were very pleasant , although the evening staff don't really know much about what can be done in terms of moving people into different rooms. The room was fine king size, with a bit of room. I stayed with a group for a couple of days after and that room was in the eves , and claustrophobically small. "We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. The receptionists were amazing - warm and welcoming and helpful throughout our trip. The bar and waiting staff were also very friendly and efficient. The grounds and the building were beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay. "

"Overall lovely hotel. We were unlucky with a room with a musky fishy smell which detracted from all the other lovely room features. I did notice some cobwebs in the room and a few patches of touch up white paint which didnt quite match which normally I would overlook. Staff lovely and room quiet. breakfast good and grounds wonderful. "

"Property was what we expected. Only niggles I’ve got are: Beds in the second bedroom were a little small, I’m 5’11’’ and was too tall for it. There was a constant sound from what could have been a boiler that did keep me up at night. Host was responsive and polite though. Overall good stay. I’d recommend, but for slightly smaller people who don’t mind constant noise."
