"Good location to restaurants and attractions. Easy check in. Good response time to communications. Several bath linens were dirty, poorly cleaned. Was greeted by a dehumidifier by the nightstand and 70% humidity in the house. Had to empty the dehumidifier 4x, 1 gallon each time, during our 2 night stay, to keep the humidity at bay. Nice place but didn’t expect doing maintenance during our stay."

"This was an amazing property. Everything was clean and inviting. Our kitchen had everything we could possibly need. They left a notebook with recommendations and instructions. Our dogs transitioned well and loved to walk around the lake. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area. Our only issue was the hard mattress. Neither of us could sleep on that. I suggest taking something cushy, like a thick sleeping bag. "

"I enjoyed this as a one-person rental. It does technically sleep as many as five, but it would not be comfortable to do any “hanging out” indoors with five. The couch only seats two. It is on the same property as a larger home and would be great as extra beds or privacy for that home. It’s a creative tiny house. It was very peaceful and quiet. The outdoor space was charming, but check to be sure the cushions in the furniture have dried out before you expect to use them. The road and driveway are...

"We had a wonderful stay at the Southern Star! It was very easy to find, and everything was clean and well cared for when we arrived. Our favorite part was definitely the screened-in porch—it was so relaxing with the TV and the bed swing, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The location was great too. It was just a short drive to DeSoto Falls and the Wildflower Cafe, and only about 15 minutes from everything else we wanted to do in Fort Payne. Overall, we had a...
