"Lovely hotel, friendly "

"Property clean and convenient to Seaham. Two short flights of stairs to rooms with 3 sets of doors to go through. No lift and no help to get luggage to room. Registration at bar and staff was busy with patrons so check in and out took time. Parking on site. Security good. "

"The Margaret Suite (room 8) double room was really good. Four poster bed and a fridge in the room. It’s the first floor bay window at the front of the building so you can see the sea. Apart from arrival, I didn’t see staff again. The room was clean and the room was quiet. The Expedia booking confirmation from the hotel starts with “Unfortunately…” and goes on about what you can and can’t do and their right to change the price. It’s not very welcoming so I’d recommend changing that. "

"The room we were staying, the decor was tired - not worthy of a 4 star hotel unfortunately. Upon arrival, wardrobe door was hanging off hinges, the wifi receiver box was hanging of the wall - room was also very dark. Pointed out wardrobe door to concierge and they had it fixed the next day, but should have been done before guest arrival - tables in hallway tired and peeling off. The staff was friendly though, especially in the breakfast room. Breakfast had a good choice."

"I booked for 4 nights,stayed for the first then left,i think that says it all,the room stank of weed.when i got home i had to wash ALL of my clothes,including the ones i hadn't worn that where hanging in the wardrobe...dreadful experience "

"Easy to check in. Was very surprised how well kept and clean the room was and actually matched the photos, very impressed. Also very quiet considering it is right next to the A1. On returning from a wedding we had the pleasure of speaking with Michael on reception who is a credit to the hotel, fantastic hospitality and chat, such a laugh! Will definitely stay again if needs be. "

"Firstly the positives for the Roker hotel are as follows the parking is good and free with your stay and the staff are lovely a big shout out to Ian on reception he is a lovely guy but positives out of the way the negatives are many firstly the carpet in the passage way is filthy and needs replacing and the chandelier on the stairs is thick of dust with bulbs missing not a good start then onto the room we stayed in well I would say it is show over substance what I mean by that is that the glitz...

"The public areas are lovely. The pool area is dirty looking and very shabby, I’d take flip flops. Rooms are dated and could do with a deep clean. In desperate need of a refurbishment and deep clean. Breakfast was warm and not very appetising."

"I had to booked to stay overnight. When I arrived. I checked in approx 2045. Went to room. Seemed to be dirty room, as edges of carpet not hoovered. mattress exposed appeared tired. Hallway on 2nd floor smelled of weed and urine. The door just next to mines had been kicked off the hinges. Was wide open with damage. I raised issue with Khizai, I checked out and didn't stay as didn't feel safe. As seems to be shady individuals dealing drugs at the premises. I have messaged for resolution but no...
