"Comfortable bed, friendly greetings on arrival, clean kitchen area and lots to offer for breakfast. Fridge in the room which is quiet unlike some places! Hairdryer, kettle and provisions in the room, plenty of plugs, touch bedside lamps, big TV screen, mirror, table and chairs sitting area by the window. Separate Shower rooms compact but very clean."

Unfortunately, there was no hot water both in the evening and the following morning, which we reported to the host on departure. Had we been staying longer, I’m confident the host would have tried to resolve this. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress would benefit from an upgrade or the addition of a topper. "With a huge gym and a 20m swimming pool it is quite a rare find in the area. Avid swimmers note, though, that pool is 30-31 C temperature so vigorous swim in freestyle may have to be cut back due to overheating if used to normal lane swimming temperatures. Understandable, though, as it is used by non-hotel residents & kids so it has to be warmer. Staff were extremely helpful, food menu in the "restaurant" was quite good and breakfast buffet was decent. "The Owners and staff were lovely, Lynn was so helpful and went out of her way. Lynn, Ruby and the handsome Joe was a delight to talk to. Very welcoming and up for a chat, great company when feeling lonely or just want to socialize. The bedroom felt relaxing and the curtians were great at keeping out the cold. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The place is within a walking distance from the train station about a minute at most. Food is not allowed in the bedrooms just as a heads up and...

"My stay was perfect, the room was clean, comfortable and little touches like a coffee machine, complementary water in the fridge was great. The shower, a walk in was amazing. Had evening dinner the food was delicious and service quick and lovely staff serving. The English breakfast was filing and perfectly cooked. We were there for a funeral, and the hotel was hosting the wake, very happy with the hospitality of the staff. Plenty of parking, would love to return. Well done everyone"
