  • The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway.

    The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties, and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a large screen TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete.

    All retreats are tastefully furnished and fully equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with HBO, Satellite HDTV with DVR, wireless high-speed Internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your peace of mind. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some retreats have a stackable washer/dryer.

    This first-floor corner condo with a wraparound sundeck has a spacious main bedroom. Three TVs, two DVD players, a VCR player, and a stereo/CD/MP3 player are available to enjoy. A large separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grills, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture.

    THINGS TO KNOW
    This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

Great location for our base to visit all of OBX. Ferry to Ocracoke and day trip to Duck. Unit was perfect for the two of us.

We was told even after asking that we was on 2nd floor, we actually was on 1st floor with no ocean view becausea apparently in n. Carolina the parking lot counts as first floor.. which I never had heard but definitely know next time. The condo was NOT worth the money paid for it. The hot tub was cold.. the ceiling fan looked like it been tore apart and didn't work, light in kitchen was not bright enough to see anything over sink. we sat on the balcony and water from the ac on the floor above us dripped all over us. Do yeah definitely not happy and do not recommend. Also the pics showed online was very deceiving ...

Vacation

Cleanliness was less than desirable, pool was not cleaned the whole week we were there, the stairs to ocean were covered in sand could barely walk on first four steps, hair in tub when arrived. Great location, right on the beach, beautiful view, middle of several tourist spots, not overly crowded, more quiet than other beaches, could walk for miles, great shelling.

Hatteras Trip

Everything was great. Nice condo. would recommend hand bars for bathtubs for older people like us. We were all 70+ and used to step out showers at home.
