"The resort had a location that can't be beat, near the center of the island and walkable to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. It was clean but worn (most hotels along the water will be). It's hard to keep the humidity out but the room gave it a darn good try. We fell for the upsell of renting chairs from the Tiki Hut, but didn't realize they were set between the tiki bar and the volleyball court but it turned out to be for the best since no alcohol allowed on the beach. "We had such a wonderful stay at Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island! We’ve been coming to Hilton Head for over 20 years. We’ve stayed all over the island but really love Sonesta.The property itself is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. From the gorgeous grounds to the spa-like adult pool area, everything felt luxurious, relaxing, and thoughtfully cared for. The resort is just steps from the beach, which made the location perfect and so convenient. We loved being close to everything...

You can walk just a few blocks and be in the downtown area where you can get food and drinks without any worries about driving. The motel was cute and vintage. Very adorable. Great for a few nights day. If you don’t mind a tiny house living the Royal Palms is the perfect place."
