"Ideally situated close to the centre of Berwick Upon Tweed. Excellent value for money. Compact room with small double bed, comfortable enough but a bit creaky. TV, Kettle and fridge in room aswell as a hairdryer. A few minor issues that could be improved upon are; TV is ok if you are connecting somwthing to it but the signal for the digital channels is terrible. There is no mirror next to plug sockets for styling hair etc. There are only 3 parking spaces and when we were there the first night,...

"The house and facilities are fantastic, in fact it felt so homely and welcoming we did not want to come home. The owners are lovely people very friendly and helpful The area is great for getting to many close by areas and dog walks. Love the art around the gardens, fenced in garden great for our pooches. Definitely going back, need to suss the bath as couldn't get hot water but this was an "us" fault not there's as we are rubbish with reading instructions. The only let down to our weekend was...

"The Gables is everyone's home away from home! It's the most beautifully appointed home, the very epitome of genteel luxury and Angus and Claire couldn't be better, warmer and fantastic hosts. Their hospitality, care and warmth were wonderful and their attention to detail legendary! We are already planning when we can go back!"

"We were in town for the Race Across Scotland - crew stayed here throughout the week, and two of us who ran it were here after we finished. Was a close drive to Cocksburnpath, and to other surrounding areas. Great spot for 4 folks, and having laundry was a huge bonus. Lovely property."
