"We really enjoyed our time in our static bus. The views of the mountain were superb, and it was nice to be able to walk some way up the side of it, to about 150 m. I could have gone higher if I was suitably equipped. The bus itself was well equipped, though the kettle took a long time to boil. We planned our hot drinks well in advance. Linda was very helpful and supplied a bowl to do the dishes as there was no stopper in the sink. The toilets and showers were close by and worked very...

"Great apartment and great location. Ground floor could be noisy at times due to proximity to street so would recommend staying on one of the upper level apartments if possible. But external noise no reflection on the accommodation or hosts. Excellent overall - will stay again when next visiting Iceland."

"The place was ok for the value.. However the smoke alarm rang they the whole building causing everyone to go outside. Then told "everything was fine" and it happened again over 6 times throughout the night Then in the morning a security alarm went off. When asking for a partial refund which I think is reasonable considering not much sleeping happened they didn't respond Would not recommend!"

"Very much liked the appt. Convenient, close to everything, clean. A few repairs/adjustments needed: to bathroom door, and bedroom door, both scrape the floor - probably hinges to adjust. Faucet of kitchen also needing repair. All small things that can be fixed easily. And not the end of the world but with time will cause more damage to an otherwise nice place."

The apartment doesnt have a microwave,, No dish rack, no wash cloths in bathroom, no hooks in bathroom, Netflix on either tv didnt work, No top sheet on bed. Bed comforters were a joke, and worst of all there was supposed to be a washing machine but there wasnt. In other words, The place was nice but our stay was harder because of these things. "Alfred’s Apartments turned out to be a brilliant last-minute find after I accidentally made a complete mess of my previous booking. The location was absolutely terrific — right in the heart of Reykjavík and ideal for exploring the city. The apartment was spotlessly clean, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and having a small kitchen was an absolute lifesaver. Given Reykjavík prices, where even a bowl of soup can set you back nearly $20, being able to prepare the occasional meal made a real...
