"Fantastic place to stay We went as a family with children 11 and 14 who enjoyed the pool after a long day at Alton Towers The only down fall or negative point would be the toilet roll in the rooms were awful and cheap that needs looking into. Otherwise a fantastic stay and I’ll be staying again sometime. "

"I liked this hotel very much. It was warm and welcoming and the staff were friendly and very helpful if you needed anything. The breakfast was amazing, fresh and cooked to perfection. The bar meals were very good to and all reasonably priced. I would most definitely stay here again as it felt like one big happy and homely place to stay. Would recommend it to all friends and family. "

"All was great, but I must say that the breakfast was not made that good. But it was a nice stay, and I would probably go here again. The dinner was OK, I had fish and chips. The fish was a bit overcooked, and the chips were good on the outside but dry on the inside. With slightly better food, this would be 5 stars for the price"

"When we arrived, the staff attended to us very quickly and efficiently and were very welcoming. The hotel is very clean, breakfast is delicious and all the hotel and spa staff were pleasant. "We stayed 2 nights in a 2nd floor room over looking the courtyard. The staff were all very welcoming & friendly. The breakfast had a good variety, nice and hot & cooked well which is not always the case for buffet style breakfasts. The location is good for the Peak District. Plenty of parking & although due to weather we were not able to enjoy it, the outside area was very pretty. The bathroom could benefit from a little work. Overall Good Location, welcome staff, excellent breakfast."
