"When we arrived, the room had not been properly cleaned. We spoke with the housekeeping staff, who cleaned the room very quickly, but unfortunately it was still not properly clean afterward.
I raised the issue with the housekeeper, and she seemed unhappy about the complaint and began speaking in Spanish, apparently assuming that I would not understand.
Proper bathroom cleaning is essential. The toilet was dirty, which is unacceptable and reflects a lack of attention to hygiene standards....

"The room was fine, but even though the hotel prohibits smoking, there was a faint whiff of smoke smell in the room. It could have been on someone's clothes who had been in the room before us or a cleaning person. Otherwise, the room was good for a short stay. Good lighting, real bathroom door - none of this nonsense with sliding barn doors that renovated hotels love."

"There were pros and cons with the Mayflower...I had to be in Queens NYC at 6am, it was very easy to find off rt.95 in Milford...I arrived at midnight, but no issues checking in, the front desk guy was cool, great sense of humor...had to pay $4 dep for the old school key, no biggie. Room was fine, very dated, but the bed was comfortable with an old-school comforter...pillows need an upgrade tho...bathroom was very clean, shower was good, nice heat and pressure was good...had a nice fridge and...

"The complimentary coffee was much appreciated. The staff were so great and helpful, and genuinely want your stay to be as perfect as possible. One thing that was repeatedly bothersome, even at 7:00 a.m., was the overly loud music in the back of the lobby area, and it was not calming music, it was loud dance music and a style of music that does not appeal to all audiences.
