"Only stayed the one night, as we were passing through, but this is a gem of a spot to rest and play - a great base to explore the surrounding Grampians and Horsham/ Stawell. Safe, scenic and friendly."

"Great stay. It is a beautiful place and the cabin was spacious and comfortable - as was the common room. The kitchen is outdoors and provides cooking utensils but don't expect anybody else to clean for you. Also you should provide your own food. As it is pretty far out the landscape and the stars are amazing. If the owner is not at the reception when you arrive, just give him a call. He is friendly and fun and can give you some tips for hiking. We did enjoy our stay."

"Our accommodation was absolutely awesome. In a great position just outside of the main shopping area, but in walkable distance. Retreat was quiet, cosy and warm (something we needed for the cold weather we experienced whilst staying here. Very comfortable stay. Spacious and nicely decorated. Comfy bed, and comfy leather lounge. The only comment I will make is that we would have loved to do a little washing, as we had been travelling, but was not offered. "
