"Lovely place to stay. My only criticism is when asking where to park the receptionist on the phone recommended a car park miles away (st Mary's). Don't! As long as it's not a match day, it was easy to park straight outside and then don't pay in the blue car park, they have a code inside for half price. "

"Lovely surroundings. Our room was cozy. Nicely decorated but carpet could have benefited from a shampoo. En suite very small. Shower small if you are not very thin! Window seat only sitting option which was ok if not closing curtains Lovely food in the evening. Breakfast average and not great selection for continental. All in all though we would definitely return but would book larger room"

"We recently stayed at The Whitehouse Hotel in Peterlee as a group of five, and it was an absolute delight. The rooms were spotless, tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable—just what we needed for a relaxing stay. Although we hadn’t pre-booked breakfast for all five of us the night before, the staff were more than happy to accommodate us on the day without any fuss, which we really appreciated. "A nice stay with a good breakfast. Didn't park my car in the hotel carpark due to £5 a day charge ( this is new). Easily parked over the road free. Hotel could do with a carpet upgrade (worn and dirty) all in all it was a nice place to stay, good clean rooms and friendly staff "
