"This home has the best furnishings of any short term rental we've ever stayed in. Eclectic, international, vintage, and very comfortable. Everything - art, furniture, and ammenities, down to the table coasters are well thought out and stylish. The bed was comfortable, and the neighborhood quiet. The host was immediately responsive. We highly recommend this home. "

"Everything was exactly as described in listing. Home was clean and organized. We enjoyed our stay. For only one bathroom we were worried about water pressure for 4 of us taking showers but it was great! It was a short drive to Hannibal. We did have a little difficulty with the entrance lock but figured it out quickly. Would recommend! "

"Very nice place to stay. The vicinity next to the busy road, while a little unsettling at first, was NO problem at all. Convenient to museums and restaurants with easy walks. Something I comment with 90% of vacation rentals…..Kleenex??!! Why can’t a box of tissue be thought of by property managers? Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Widow Douglas’ ."

"I had an excellent five-night stay here. The property was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything I needed. The neighborhood was quiet, and the easy, scenic 10-minute walk to downtown made it convenient to enjoy coffee shops, shopping, and reading by the riverfront. Since I stayed several nights and did some cooking, the only thing I found myself wishing for was an extra trash bag—otherwise, everything was perfect."
