"Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. Thoroughly recommend."

"Smooth check in and out, very friendly front desk staff! Room was clean but lacking in amenities, you need to call housekeeping to get toothbrushes and toothpaste. One thing that makes me furious is that ,they tried to charge my bank account for minibar consuming, but I didn’t consume any of it. I called the front desk after I got notification from my bank, the staff who answered the phone was helpful, but hopefully she will pass my issue to account department to fix the bill. Levi who checked us in was super nice and really helpful, we received a delicious cake sent up to our room which was a wonderful surprise 😄 The room was very clean and the bed was big and comfortable. There was alot to choose from for breakfast and the fruit was nice and fresh too. We had a wonderful stay."

"Love the spacious heritage rooms here, but book ones facing Martin Place as they are more quiet. Breakfast has variety, includes miso soup etc. Staff were always helpful. Centrally located but super close to the city circle trainline, which connects to/from the airport, so if wanting to walk from station to hotel, jump off at St James or Wynyard and prepare to walk with luggage for 5 minutes. Beats traffic chaos!"

"Excellent location with superb views of the harbour, but the whole experience just felt a little underwhelming. Other than in Chi Spa, which was excellent, service felt very perfunctory…obviously polite, but lacking any genuine warmth. The Horizon lounge doesn’t feel in any way exclusive, although offers everything you could want for breakfast. Don’t bother with the afternoon tea, though - literally just scones. The pool is great for lap swimming and they are thankfully strict at kicking out...

The only thing I took issue with was that when booking I selected Xcover insurance under the proviso I could cancel the insurance for full refund right up to 8th July. I sent an email on 1st July advising my intent to cancel the insurance, I heard nothing….. I sent at least 3 follow up emails asking for assistance in order to cancel before the 8th July. I have still not heard anything. I felt I was mislead with the ability to cancel...

"I am very disappointed with our recent experience. My son and his partner , both over the legal age of 18 and nearly 20years old stayed at the property over the weekend. During their stay, hotel staff removed the minibar items and also took the complimentary bottle of wine that was included with the reservation. Unfortunately, they also left behind their phone chargers. Despite contacting the hotel 1 day later, we were told that nothing had been handed in. What makes this even more...
