"We were visiting family with our new grandson nearby. We have stayed here before a few times and checked in around 10 pm. Staff on reception were very friendly and welcoming. We had lovely clean, warm rooms with an extra double made up. Good nights sleep and lovely breakfast with a few coffees certainly did the trick. I asked a female member of staff for alternate a milk and she happily obliged with Soya for my cereal. The restaurant was busy, but no big waits for food, self service and...

"Check in was a pleasant experience and when I asked if we could have a quiet room we were upgraded to an executive room with fridge. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We’ve stayed here on numerous occasions over the years and I’d say the breakfast wasn’t as good as usual. The dining room is getting shabby and stains on chairs off putting. To be fair a lot of guests were down for breakfast and it wasn’t so easy to choose what you wanted to eat. the food wasn’t being replenished quickly...

"Our budget room was small and dated but adequate. Bed was a little uncomfortable, but this was made up for by the quality of food in the restaurant and overall ambiance of the property and its superb location. I have stayed in a deluxe suite before, which I would have preferred but the hotel was full. Highly recommended "

"Please point out to persons booking in that they MUST register their car for overnight parking within 20 minutes. There are signs but it's very easy to overlook this whilst booking in after a very long day driving. Just a reminder from the desk staff whilst booking in would save trying to cancel the £100 fine for forgetting"
