"As John Muir put it. "I went into the forest to lose my mind and find my soul." This magical place has become one of our favorite stays. If you want to unwind, relax, find yourself and hust revonnect with nature this is an absolutely beautiful accomodation. It's everything described in the listing if not more. Linda is an amazing hostess. The home is immaculate and stocked with everything you would need. Now for the surrounding grounds...photos do not do it justice. Stunning!!"

"We had a lovely stay. It was a perfect 3 day getaway from SF. The cabin was just as listed. My only advice - make sure to arrive while it’s light out - it would be challenging to find the cabin for the first time in the dark."

"Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. "This is a wonderful house. Large, comfortable rooms, good kitchen setup, lots of amenities, quiet location, neighbors are not close by, and the view is so nice. Great for mornings and evenings on the large wrap around porch. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again. "

"I just stayed for one night- visiting family. The family was friendly and also gave me space. My favorite thing was the pond, with many koi fish. My area included a bedroom , bathroom with sauna, and a rec room with a giant tv, treadmill, ping pong table and fooz ball table. The bed was very comfortable and the night was peaceful. I would visit again."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."

"This cabin is perfect for a stay for a small family or couple. All necessary accommodations are available the environment was so cozy and clean. The host has good communication and was willing to accommodate our dog that recently got hurt right before our trip and our child whom we had to take our trip. The host even offered a Air mattress if needed. This is a highly recommended VRBO and I would definitely stay again at this location! "

"Cabin was not ready when we checked-in. Thankfully the other cabin was available. The on-site manager did not know we were checking in. Listing was accurate, but I was still surprised there wasn’t at least soap in the bathroom/shower. There is also a completely see-through window into the bathroom (should be frosted or provide a way to block the view). "
