"Really lovely castle! Rooms are charming, grounds are lovely and the breakfast was nice. The TVs in the room were smart TVs but didn't work with the internet, and it would have been nice to have fridges in the rooms."

"One of the best places to stay with a dog. Staff are very dog friendly and the property is quite large to walk your dog around so it's very convenient. The rooms also have a good sized bath so it was excellent! "

"This is lovely. Accommodation is good and practical. The breakfast was really good. Tricky walk to the worlds end pub but you are in the best Sussex countryside so enjoy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would love to have stayed longer"

"Lovely staff and nice hotel - clean and nice decor. There was a lack of staff on the bar, it was a Saturday evening and we had difficulty ordering food. The restaurant was full . We ordered bar food that took ages to arrive and was of very poor quality and cold ."

"We were fortunate to come across room 61 - the Penthouse. My sister and I took my mum (late 70’s) to visit relatives and it was such a treat to have this amazing space to spend quality time. With a twin room, king room, huge lounge/diner and lobby space with fridge and coffee, it really did cater to our needs. Would suit 2 couples or a couple with older kids. "St Marys Gate Inn looked extremely comfortable, clean and welcoming in the photo's online. Believe me when I say, it is much much more when you arrive. Welcomed by Lola on arrival (we were much earlier than expected) we were shown a table for Sunday lunch straight away (Food is excellent both flavours and presentation). The room was exceptional, huge main area, immaculate bathroom, tea and separate coffee facilities in the room, two huge windows. Bed was very comfortable, just a very relaxing...

"We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with a modern ensuite. The pub itself was charming in a beautiful area,the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was made to order with a variety of choices and the dinner was absolutely delicious. As a group of four having a ladies get away it was absolutely perfect. We would all highly recommend a visit here."
