"I realize this is a cabin in the woods and things happen. Like the ants in the kitchen and equipment failure (like the microwave that sparked if you tried to use it). But the property itself lacked care: rotted wood on porch unkempt landscaping, broken slat in window blind. I did appreciate the washer and dryer after five days there, though. "The cottage was peaceful and quiet, warm and inviting, exactly what I had hoped when I booked a last-minute two-night trip for my partner and I.
