"Cute & cozy hotel that really makes you feel like you're in the heart of St. Thomas."

"We had the private villa with the balcony . The place it self is nice with an ocean view. The bar is only open until 9 which is a downer but the drinks are reasonable priced. It is a 5 minute walk from the airport so no need for a taxi to get to and from which I liked. Right by the beach which was nice. You can tell the property is older but it is nice and quiet. They have cats and roosters on the property. Seem like the island is known for that, they don’t bother anyone tho. "

I felt that staff went above and beyond assisting us with transportation and making sure all needs were met. I would absolutely return and recommend this facility highly! "

Having laundry on-site was a huge plus for refreshing our gear after beach days, and being so close to local shops made grabbing daily essentials a breeze. "We stayed here for several nights. It's a beautiful location and the view out of room was gorgeous! The only caution is the number of steps to get to your room, unless you have one of those along the shore. I didn't realize that when I booked the hotel - I chose this for the most reasonable price for a room with a view! A few days before our stay, the hotel sent me an email notifying me of the steps and that no porter help is available. Their advice was good and much appreciated. Had I...

"What a tropical paradise! We were blown away by Hideaway! If you are looking for a private, family or couple getaway, this is the best place around! The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! Little touches everywhere were not overlooked by my family. "

"Everything was perfect at the St. John Inn! Karen was lovely and a friendly host. The room and property was clean and welcoming, and we really appreciated the amenities they offered. "Our stay at Emerald Beach Resort was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The room itself was mediocre at best, but the beds and pillows were absolutely awful—easily some of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever experienced. The bigger issue was the complete lack of basic functionality and service. The phone in our room didn’t work at all (no dial tone), and the TV wouldn’t load Netflix. "What a beautiful place to stay on St. John, a great location with outstanding views. The restaurant was wonderful, we had two outstanding dinners and enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar each evening. Staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful! We are planning to return in 2027!"
