"The pictures online of this hotel appear to make it nicer than it was. It has a very dark, dingy, motel-feel to it. When we checked in, the front desk person was very kind and helpful, but he had very red, bloodshot eyes and appeared to be under the influence. (I do not know this for sure). He gave us our keycard and instructed us that we would enter the building through a separate door that could only be opened by using our key. "The bathroom had damages. The walls were scratched and had holes in the paint. The shower floor was very slippery and I was afraid I was going to fall. The bathroom floor was also slippery when wet. The step into the room from the outside was too high and I actually fell, which required the fire service to come and help me get up."

"Pool water wasn’t nice(not clear) so I wouldn’t let the kids swim. We stayed for 5 nights and they never made beds or took out garbage even after being asked. Wasn’t the cleanest to begin with but bed was comfortable and sheets were clean."

We went to the front desk to ask to be moved, but unfortunately, they could not accommodate us. We ended up leaving. The area was unsafe for our liking. "The rooms are updated, cute and very comfortable. I loved the soft linens and bedding! If you like to walk, this location is great for a beautiful stroll to town for meals and shopping. (I recommend that you take E Front Ave. behind the property, to stay off of the busy road.) "Last minute booking here for us- it is a home in a residential area that has been converted into a “ hostel” type accommodation. There is a restaurant downstairs and it is very close to downtown so the location was great. The property manager was helpful and kind. The only negative thing about the property is I would assume because the building was built in 1908 the plumbing is old so there is an odd sewage smell that comes and goes.
