"Wanted to stay somewhere with a rural charm, and this did not disappoint! Staff very friendly and helpful. We did the half board which offered great value. Proper pub food, reasonably priced and excellent quality. Same can be said about breakfast. Great location to explore the area and walks nearby. Only slight downside were that the walls were quite thin so you could hear movements from neighbouring rooms. "

"Great place. The guy at check in was brilliant. Had salmon and king scallops for tea and was beautiful. The Missus enjoyed her fish n chips. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we’ve had and the lady got us in early cos we had somewhere to go. Couldn’t do enough for us. Will go again 100%"

Overall the whole stay was very pleasant , the staff were very friendly without being overly so. Would definitely go back if we were in the area."

Wish I’d gone directly to them and not given Hotels.com the credit of this review. The Premises was exceptional with all mod cons, very clean everything you need to do whilst working away . " The hotel needs a complete refurb. The room allocated to us was of poor quality and standard. There was no wardrobe hanging space for ladies dresses and no drawers for storing other clothes. The plug was missing from the bath and the taps were dripping in the bathroom sink. The positive was that the staff were attentive and helpful and the food (breakfast) was excellent. We would not stay here again."

"Lovely restored building, very quirky. Lacks storage space but if you’re only there for 1 or 2 nights this is unlikely to be an issue. Extremely comfortable beds. We experienced some outside noise very early in the morning (shouting & smashing bottles) but this wouldn’t deter me from booking again, we really enjoyed our stay."
