We stayed at this location for four consecutive nights. There were some pros and cons.PROS- the owner was very responsive- the owner has invested in making the flat modern and nice, with recently remodeled bathrooms, comfortable beds, a nice kitchen and a sitting room with large television- the owner supplied a book with lots of relevant information- the main door to the building has a security feature to prevent unauthorized access (see comment below)CONS- the flat was advertised as a 'Penthouse'. That is what attracted me to book the place. I knew what 'Penthouse' means in the context of an apartment. This place is really a three-storey walk-up, and should be advertised as such. The current wording of the listing is misleading- the building is within 30 yards of the commuter rail, and when the trains pass (45 per day starting at 05:47 and ending at 23:00), you can't hear the television (I have a video, but can't post it)- other tenants behave disruptively; a young woman smokes pot every evening just outside the front door, and the smoke wafts up into the open windows, so those windows remain shut; there are two youths across the hall who leave their bicycles in the corridor leading to the stairs (photo 1); there are two doors to the building (the main door with a security feature, and a back door). The back door is often left open which defeats the security- the exterior of the building is not well maintained (photo 2)
