Viatges a Edgewater

amazing staff

The bed and pillows at this establishment left so much to be desired. We actually had to go out and buy pillows to try and get a good nights sleep but even with new pillows the bed was just terrible. The bar in the lobby allowed ambient noise well into the night time which also made it hard to sleep, it’s like the walls in the entire place were paper thin. The staff was nice but definitely won’t stay here again. Seems like they put a lot into making the place “look” fancy, without investing in any of the actual comfort the guests were hoping for. I genuinely feel that we would have experienced a more restful stay at an average Marriott.

Plumbing issues - hallway smelled like sewage our second day. At at first the smell was not in our room but then it seemed to creep under our door. Luckily, we had a suite so we called the front desk to report the issue and sealed ourselves in the bedroom. They pumped air freshener into the hallway and I guess cleaned a "trap" somewhere and it was better. The next day it happened again and our toilet backed up (not due to anything we did) and brought me a plunger and I had to plunge it myself:( My husband told the manager on duty that he thought we should receive some sort of compensation for this and the manager handed him a tiny can of butter cookies and later there was a letter delivered under our door apologizing for the inconvenience - that was it. Won't stay at a La Quinta again.

I think, if you provide bar shop, it's so helpful ~

When we checked in, we requested a quiet room. The front desk associate told us that all the rooms were the same, then moved us to the side of the hotel directly facing the freeway. The traffic noise was constant throughout our stay. The air conditioner was also very loud, though it did help somewhat drown out the freeway noise.
