The house is a wonderful beach house with two great decks, where we spent most of our time. The interior is well appointed and has a well-stocked kitchen. It was a great getaway for four longtime friends.

A perfect getaway for our family

We absolutely loved our visit and will book again if we get back to Cape Cod. The back and upper deck could not be beat for relaxing and enjoying the views and sounds of the ocean. getting up for low tide and the sunrise was wonderful and it was so cool to look for creature and all of the different seaweeds on the rocks that become exposed. In addition to the house being very clean and comfortable, it was also well stocked for cooking and accurate to the listing photos. We really appreciated the tips provided by the host for local places to hit and advice for taking advantage of low tide/high tide highlights. Our 9 year old and I could not have enjoyed searching for crabs at Scorton Creek more at low tide and then heading back to see the changed landscape at high tide. The location was also fantastic for exploring the Cape. The hosts were also very responsive. The only thing we would have changed was taking a longer vacation here:-D

Perfect Cottage on Lovely Beach

Our family spent spring break here. What a lovely cottage! Nice updates throughout. Perfect spot right on the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Kerry was so nice and welcomed us with nice amenities. We will absolutely rent this cottage again!

Great Beachfront Property

Staying at Kerry's home was great! Being able to simply walk off the back deck onto the beach is a wonderful experience. I stayed during the off-season so it was very quiet and we only saw one other person along the beach during our weekend stay, and only one other car on the road to the property. The last mile of road leading to the house is pretty rough, so low cars or those without good suspension may find it quiet bumpy, but it should be generally fine for most cars if they drive slowly. The house seemed well equipped and included conveniences for parents (stowaway child's bed, etc.). Overall it was a great place to stay!

“Chilling” on the beach

My family and I stayed 5 great nights in February and we had a wonderful time. The location is just as pictured and even though the outdoor temperature dipped low and the winds were blustery, we still ventured to the beach for several long, brisk walks. For the first 3 nights, it was just two couples, and the last two nights, my daughters, and four of my grandchildren came. The house accommodated all of us, though the kitchen area is a bit tight for that size group. Just a consideration if you had a couple of high chairs and such. The ocean vista is gorgeous and the top floor bedroom is very lovely with the best view. My eight-year-old granddaughter has already asked when she can come back and stay in the “penthouse.” Kerry was great to communicate with and really aims to help make her guests’ stay be memorable.

Beautiful inside and out

My friends and I had an amazing stay at this home. Everything was clean and well equipped. The view is absolutely stunning and the location is perfect, steps from the beach. We enjoyed sitting by the fire with a glass of wine listening to the waves crash on the beach. Further, Kerry was responsive and extremely accommodating. We had a winter storm warning the night before we were to leave and she allowed us to check out late to give the roads time to clear. It really eased a lot of stress knowing that we weren't going to have to head out in the snow and ice.

Thanksgiving break

It was a perfect house for relaxing with the family for holiday break. Perfect for 6 adults to have their own space but roomy for when we needed space together. Beach was beautiful, loads of shells and rocks. Great place for some down time

Quick Stay

The proximity of the house to the beach was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The road to enter the house was a bit rough and it would have been nice to know that in advance. The toilet in the master bath malfunctioned several times. Other than those minor issues, we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Location!

Fantastic location in Sandwich. Right on the beach with a great deck and easy stairs down to the beach. We had a blast playing on the beach, and also doing things around the Cape. For repeat visitors to Sandwich, they'll know that the Sandwich beaches are much rockier than beaches farther west on the cape. This one is no different, though the location made it all worthwhile.

The Sanctuary could not be more appropriately named. It was exactly what our family needed. Perfect sunrises and beach walks. The house was perfectly stocked for cooking light meals. Very comfortable, and we will certainly be back!

Fantastic view!

We enjoyed the lovely views and private location. We really appreciated baby/child items being provided (play pen, beach toys, etc), keurig pods/coffee, and felt like we had everything needed for a quick getaway. Friendly and helpful host!

Fabulous beach house!

It was a perfect environment for our 10 day stay … two couples, grandma and a 4 yr old. The beach access provided endless fun for all … exploring, wading in the water, discovering shells, rocks, driftwood … and we loved the boat traffic to and from the canal. The home’s layout was perfect for allowing togetherness yet privacy when needed. Sandwich is magnificent. Kerry was a gracious host, very kind and responsive. We would love to return next year!

Short Getaway on the Beach

This house delivered on all expectations. From being right on the beach to the beautiful sunrises, it delivered on a very relaxing short getaway. In addition, the house was fully stocked including kids’ toys. Kerry was extremely responsive and kind.

Cozy stay in Sandwich

Our 3 generational family of 7 enjoyed our week of Sanctuary! The views are spectacular and the house was very well equipped. It was so nice to not have to bring or order linens and the suppy of beach equipment (chairs, towels, toys etc) further rediced the load when packing the cars- awesome! Sleeping arrangements are great- kids were downstairs in two air-conditioned rooms, adults split the masters. The 3rd floor master suite always cooled down at night with a crossbreeze. There were some pesky gnats (no-see-ums) in the evenings or during warm still moments on the back decks that made things uncomfortable at times. But you cant control Mother Nature! Sunsets were beautiful. Wouldnt hesitate to stay at Sanctuary again!
